IMMIGRATION EVALUATIONS

A thorough and theoretically grounded immigration evaluation can be a crucial component in a court’s immigration decision. I have over 14 years’ experience providing biopsychosocial and diagnostic evaluations as well as specialized clinical services to victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, physical/sexual abuse, gang violence and other behavioral health and environmental factors that may influence a court’s decision regarding an individual’s immigration status. As such, I am uniquely positioned to assess, document, and testify regarding the potential hardship posed by an immigrant’s unique circumstances if they are to return to their country of origin. I provide specific evaluations for Hardship Waivers, Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, VAWA, U-Visas and T-Visas. The immigration evaluation process involves an in-person or telehealth interview which generally takes approximately 2-3 hours (but can be longer depending on the level of detail necessary and/or available at the time of the interview) followed by the provision of a thorough, written evaluation no later than 2 weeks after completion of the interview.
